SYCAMORE is a new build project in Toluca Lake, CA. The project leans on a naturalistic landscape, using California native and friendly plants, natural stone, wood, and steel, to soften the neutral tones and rectilinear vernacular of this contemporary new home.

The homeowners enter the site through a tube-steel and IPE fin fence, with warm stone paving. Once through the gate they walk across an IPE boardwalk leading to the font patio. The front patio and boardwalk are flanked by a bubbling natural stone fountain, shade tolerant perennial plants, and three newly planted eastern redbuds.

In the rear yard, and IPE deck extends away from the pool allowing plenty space for lounging and entertaining.
